Subtitled: 75 Recipes for Homemade Beer and Wine Using Seasonal Ingredients

Although strictly speaking this is not a book on making Mead there is a recipe for mead contained in it. But, the real reason we mead-makers love this book so much is for the inspiration it provides and for other ideas on tweaking wine recipes to make them into mead recipes, by substituting the sugar for honey. These drinks are typically referred to as mead like fruit-flavored melomels, grape-based pyments, or spiced metheglins. Maybe try a Birch Sap mead, an Apricot, Raisin or Rhubarb mead, or adapt their Ginger Beer recipe to make it with honey.  There are so many possibilities!

Those of us who love mead always have one batch on the go. You can drink half when it's ready (generally 6 months minimum), and leave the other half to age and mature, to make an even finer wine to be enjoyed at the next major holiday or a monumental celebration.
